Pedaling from Rome to Castel Gandolfo is an experience that provides excitement and satisfaction. Starting from the center of the city, rich in history and art, you ride along the Via Appia Antica, one of the oldest and most evocative roads in the world. You pass through parks and protected areas, where you can admire evidence of ancient Rome, such as catacombs, tombs and aqueducts. Then ascending to the Castelli Romani, a hilly area famous for its mild climate, enchanting landscapes and gastronomy, you arrive at Castel Gandolfo, an elegant and refined village overlooking Lake Albano. Here you can enjoy the panoramic view, see the papal palace, or stop to taste typical products, such as wine, cheese and porchetta. But that's not all! An overview of Marino, Grottaferrata and Frascati is waiting for you to discover an area rich in history, art, nature and flavors, which will create unique and unforgettable memories. Homemade bread, wild strawberries from Nemi and wine will finally delight your day!

Day 1: From the city center to Castel Gandolfo
Your journey starts right from the center of Rome! Pedaling along the Tiber, accompanied by your guide, you will make like a journey through time! In fact, from the frenzy of the center you will suddenly find yourself surrounded by the Roman countryside, cycling along one of the oldest roads in the world, the Via Appia Antica!
Here you will be surprised by the guide's stories as you feast your eyes on so much beauty. Slowly you will travel along the ancient Roman paving stones until you reach Castel Gandolfo,one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Here you will be enchanted by the beauty of the archaeological and naturalistic heritage of great value, as well as appreciate a panoramic view of the lake and hills.
The day concludes with dinner and overnight stay in two real local institutions, where you will delight your palate with expertly cooked dishes and rest in a place full of history and charm.

Day 2: Discovering the Castles
Today will be the turn of cycling in the heart of the Castelli Romani!
We will leave Castel Gandolfo to reach Marino, a historic town famous for its grape festival and its Colli Lanuvini DOC wine. We will pass through Grottaferrata, a town that is home to the Greek Abbey of San Nilo, a monument of Byzantine art founded in 1004.
Let's continue the tour, the assisted pedaling will effortlessly help you get to Frascati, a Renaissance town known for its villas, such as Villa Aldobrandini, Villa Torlonia, and Villa Falconieri. There are plenty of small restaurants and kiosks here for a tasty lunch featuring local products; in fact, you can also sample the famous Frascati white wine and Genzano IGP homemade bread.
You have earned a comfortable return with our shuttle that will take you to your starting point where you will return your bike and find your luggage waiting for you.

- Departure is guaranteed when the minimum number of participants is reached. In case this does not happen you can change your trip or ask us for a full refund of the paid fee.
- For organizational reasons, the hotel may place participants in another related facility, with equal treatment. Some hotels may require a credit card at check in to guarantee any consumption or extra services (minibar, spa entrance,...). The card is released at check out.
- The itinerary may be subject to changes before and/or during the vacation due to organizational reasons, weather conditions (to be understood as heavy thunderstorms only and not drizzle) or provisions of local authorities.There will be no refund for changes or non-performance of the program due to the above-mentioned causes. In case of closures not foreseeable at the time of program publication, we will substitute the planned visit with other places of interest.
- We expect you to be fit to tackle this route: check well the level of difficulty and the characteristics of the route, and ask us for help if you have any doubts. It is essential to know how to ride a bicycle with a minimum of experience in its use. People deemed by our guide to be unfit for the trip, or with physical issues that preclude the safe conduct of the tour, will not be admitted to the group. There will be no refunds for unsuitable persons.
- Please indicate at the time of booking any allergies, intolerances or dietary habits (e.g. vegetarian, vegan diet...). We will notify the facilities of your request. To be safe, bring a small supply of special foods (e.g., gluten-free) with you.
- Remember to check out in the morning, right after breakfast, so that you do not leave any documents required at the hotel during check in. In fact, at the end of the tour you will not return to the hotel, your luggage will be transported by our transfer service directly to the rental point (meeting point).
- The Package's included Luggage Transfer service provides only and exclusively for one small/medium sized trolley per person. Any other additional luggage may be transported upon agreed request and extra payment.
- Remember to charge the E-Bike battery overnight so that you have all the levels to ride the next day.
